Muscovado sugar is made from non-refined cane sugar. It has a high proportion of molasses, a thick syrup produced during the manufacturing process. Better than sugar, it will give you dishes aromatic notes similar to dates, candied figs, liquorice and caramel sweets. It melts in the mouth to give way to a creamy caramel flavour.
