description

Fazenda Rainha coffee 100% Yellow Bourbon beans.

Coffee Fazenda (farm in Portuguese) Rainha is soft and velvety, it has notes of red fruits and cocoa. It has a nice texture and low acidity.

This 100% Yellow Bourbon is produced in Sao Sebastiao da Grama, on the plateau of Mogiana in the State of Sao Paulo.

Fazenda Rainha is located in the Southwest, it benefits from volcanic slopes and balanced unlike many Brazilian plantations most plain climate cases. At an altitude of 1200-1400 meters, it belongs exclusively to the Arabica variant Yellow Bourbon. A specialty, in addition, a unique feature: ripe cherries are not red, but yellow shiny. They are hand-picked and collected on sheets to avoid contact with the ground. But that's not all! They are treated the same day, according to the "pulped natural" method. The fruits are washed using machines. Once this process is finished, the beans are directly dried on large football field.

Gabriel de Carvalho Dias now runs the farm that regularly produces raw coffee of extraordinary quality, with great commitment and attention. Moreover, the work done by Regina Helena Carvalho Dias de Mello and his family (owned since 1890) to produce high quality cups led coffees on his farm in the final of the Cup of Excellence 2000, 2001 and 2005 .

In addition, in Fazenda Cachoeira coffees, which also belongs to the family Carvalho Dias, were classified at the Cup Of Excellence 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2005.

It is the grand-son of Auguste, Pierre Verlet which first started to roast grand cru of coffee of pure origin in 1965. Half a century later, it is Eric Duchossoy which is at the head of the Centennial House and always roasts with great passion. Thanks to his perfectionism, Verlet House became the supplier of big names in cuisine like Pierre Gagnaire and Joël Robuchon.
