The Blue Mountains are located at the eastern end of the Jamaica island. At altitudes up to 1500 meters, soil, rainfall, and the Blue Mountain fog combine to create the perfect conditions for growing the world's most famous and most distinguished coffee. Typica Arabica is the dominant variety with almost 90% of the area planted. This is a low yielding variety, but it produces the highest quality in the cup. The best lots of Blue Mountain coffee are known for their taste and no bitterness. This coffee has a reputation for being one of the most expensive and one of the most popular in the world.
